Growing up, I remember my Dad using Old Spice. He even used a shaving brush to really get some great lather. When he would come home from work and scoop me up in his arms, that was my favorite time of day and I remember that smell!

Now that I’ve grown older, I still love the smell of Old Spice. I love guys that smell like guys! For me, a guy wearing worn-in jeans and smelling fresh and clean – that’s a perfect combination!

After all, some things just go better together: bacon and eggs, peanut butter and chocolate, swagger with shades. Now, Old Spice, the manliest men’s grooming brand in the universe is letting guys know that when they use the perfect combinations like Old Spice anti-perspirant and deodorant, body wash and 2-in-1 shampoo and conditioner layered together, the result is an irresistible freshness from head to toes.

Speaking of “combinations”, Old Spice recently conducted a poll among 18-35 year old men to ask about some of their favorite combinations. Favorite beer accompaniment? Favorite food combo is you were stranded on a desert island? Best combo to relive your childhood?

Old Spice has launched some new fun campaign spots featuring the Old Spice Mandroid. This one is my favorite!

In “Stairs,” the Old Spice mandroid suavely strolls up a flight of stairs at an expensive restaurant while professing his love for “human women.” After explaining that he uses Old Spice all over to smell like a “human man,” he takes just one wrong step and plummets over the railing and onto a couple’s table. Unphased, the robot-man continues to talk to the woman at the table, and gets an unlikely response!

This guy may be plastic and metal, he may have emarrassing computer wiring odors, but after showering with Old Spice and using their deodorant, he now smells like a man from head to toe.

What are some of your favorite combos?

Sexiness is not about being able to fit into a tiny bikini or having modelesque features. Sexiness is all about how you feel and how you think. It’s a whole being experience.

Here are some simple tips to help you feel sexier:

Wear your guy’s shirt.

I agree.

Take some completely alone time! Whether it means shutting off the phones, computers, tvs and not answering the door or trading babysitting time with another Mom. Do what makes you feel free and pampered!

Dance naked! My favorite thing is to go out naked in the rain (this requires privacy of course and isn’t easily done!) But, you can still dance inside. Choose your favorite music or enjoy the silence.

Take a hot bubble bath with your favorite bath bombs and scents. Revel in the aromatherapy, the quiet and the peace. It’s a great chance to restore and revive.

Create an environment that stimulates the senses. Use candles, flowers, whatever gives you joy and uplifts your spirit.

Get a massage! Either from your significant other or save up for one at the spa. You deserve it! A foot massage also will help with what ails you and give you an overall sense of well-being.

After a warm shower or bath, get out your favorite moisturizer. Slowly massage your arms, legs, feet, neck, hands. Enjoy the moment.

Try acupuncture or acupressure. Getting the energy flowing again can give you a renewed sense of vitality.

Take a yoga or pilates class. If you can’t find one,  there are lots of websites and dvds that can help. This will help put you in touch with your body and your entire being, which feels incredibly sexy. Exercise can do this as well!

Try out living in the moment! Stress can really take a toll on feeling sexy as we struggle through our daily routine and our mind is not at peace. By eliminating worrying about the past and anticipating problems in the future, we can enjoy the present and simply be. As all the great spiritual teachers have said, “Be here now.” It’s not always easy, but, it truly works! Ask yourself, “Is there anything wrong right in this present moment?”

Do it for yourself! Pamper yourself for you, not for anyone else. Get a manicure, paint your toenails, get a new hairstyle or add highlights. A small change can do wonders!

Wear sexy lingerie under your clothes, whether you’re in jeans and a t-shirt or a business suit!

Emulate your cat! Cats lounge, stretch, purr, do what they want, don’t care what others think, and are just naturally sensual beings!

Eat sexy food! Chocolate not only tastes amazing and feels silky on the tongue, but it also contains phenylethylamine  and serotonin, two natural feel-good substances which can provide the same reaction in the body as falling in love. Other sexy foods: Chocolate-covered strawberries and champagne, asparagus, and chiles. The capsaicin found in spicy foods can stimulate nerve endings and trigger endorphins.

Play with textures like  the creaminess of avocados and the lush softness of raspberries.

Slowly peel the leaves off of artichokes and dip in a creamy mixture of dijon and mayo till you get to the delicious heart.

Focus on your best feature and enhance it. It’s not about what you don’t have, but what you do have. Do you love your feet? Paint your toes and buy a new pair of sandals.

Confidence is sexy! Learn a new language. Take a roadtrip on your own. Accomplish one of your goals that you’ve been putting off or afraid to try.

Above all, sexiness is really not for any one else. It’s feeling comfortable in your own skin.
