I was thrilled to review this Sony 16x High-zoom CMOS camera which just came out in March of this year. I really needed a good digital camera to keep on exploring my Photography obsession and a great camera to take pictures of the family on trips, at concerts and other fun events. This one fits me perfectly. It takes great videos as well. It’s easy to use but has enough features that you can vary it up and create interesting effects and fascinating photos. It has a soft skin mode, face detection technology and background defocus which I love. I am still exploring and learning all about it. The zoom is amazing and very clear.

I would love to take pictures of my kids with my aunt. She has stage 4 Melanoma Cancer and her local doctors say there’s nothing they can do for her. We are taking a 1300 mile journey to visit in case the specialist she’s going to go to can’t help either. I would love to get some lasting memories and photographs with her.

I have always enjoyed taking photos, especially pics of family members or get togethers. But after learning that the leukemia diagnosis my three year old son had been fighting had progressed and had become terminal, I truly understood the value of the silly little photos I take all the time. My son died in 2009, he never got to celebrate his fourth birthday. But the pics I took during the final six months I had with him allow me to remember the good times we had instead of only remembering how sad I am that he is gone. So now I take photos of my three other children ALL THE TIME! They think I’m a bit silly, but we have all learned to treat each day as if we might not have another one with the people we love. That’s why I would love to win this camera. Being unable to take photos of special moments due to low lighting or because my zoom isn’t good enough can be frustrating. I would so grateful to have a camera which allowed me to take keepsake quality photos regardless of the conditions. Thanks!

My favorite photo subjects are my kids playing sports. I know from experience that kids grow up so fast. I have 6 and still have 3 at home. When the older ones were small, I didn’t have a camera that worked, so missed SO many photo opportunities for them. They dont have much for photos. (With digital it is so much easier to capture those moments now. Took me til last year to get out of film. yes, for real.) That is why I love to take these types of photos. Now I am sharing this with my youngest daughter, who is 12. She took a class last year and really has an eye for photography. It’s a pretty cool hobby to share.
