Now that summer is in full swing, it’s a great time to feed your children’s imaginations with fun activities.
One of my favorites is collecting shells on the beach which can be saved in jars for decoration and memories.
Here are some more ideas for you and your kids:
Plant some herbs and veggies. If you don’t have room for tomatoes, pots on the patio work wonderfully!
Make homemade jewelry. There are lots of inexpensive bead stores where kids can pick their faves or shop online for materials.
Go take a hike with your kids. Explore new plants and flowers and bring a camera they can use.
Make art! Whether it’s fingerpainting or chalk mandalas on the sidewalk, free expression is key!
Curious kids with endless imaginations often become adults with creative ideas for the world.
Horizon Organics believes in feeding the imagination and helping grownups raise interested, confident kids who care about the world around them. Their foods are our favorite blend of healthy and delicious.
Our entire family loves their organic chocolate milk and other Horizon snacks including yummy organic peanut butter sandwich crackers and honey snack grahams.
However, if I have to pick a family fave, it’s their delicious creamy mac and cheese. Best we’ve tried!
If you want to pump up the protein (it already has 10 grams!), here is an easy and delicious lunch idea. I tried it because we often have extra chicken leftover from dinner.
Make Horizon Organic Mac and cheese. Add pieces of Roast Chicken. Simple, and the flavors complement one another so well.
Add a cup of Horizon chocolate milk, some fresh berries, and you have my idea of a healthy delicious kids’ lunch.
