In the US, the leading cause of death is heart disease. People of all ages and backgrounds can suffer from this. I watched family members struggle with heart disease, so it is particularly important to me, not only to support the American Heart Association, but, also, to do what I can to keep myself and my family healthy. I do believe that education can be a wonderful tool for change. The more we understand about how to decrease our risks and eat well, the better our quality of life can become.
We try to stay heart healthy here by cutting down on fats and sodium, by not overeating, by doing cardio workouts and going for long walks. Not only does this help with our cardiovascular system, it also can increase our enjoyment of life.
There was a time that my Mom and I would take a daily walk around the neighborhood and down to the beach. Stopping to see the new flowers, the frog fountain she loved, being out and about, and having wonderful conversations are memories I cherish.
I still keep this routine and include yoga in the mornings to get my body, mind and spirit moving. We eat more veggies, fruits and lean meats. I’ve also added some really wonderful vegetarian meals to my repertoire.

The Pizza Primavera with Cauliflower Crust sounds interesting!

Amen!! Even here in Italy we have some heart disease releated with the increasing obesity of pre-teen children….The only way to solve it is doing regular activities and eat well!
These recipes look delicious. I want to try the pizza!
It’s actually kind of surprising that there are such delicious options that still qualify as heart-healthy. I love that!

Pizza with Campbell’s Soup!?!? What a fascinating idea. I will be checking out these recipes. I love the idea of healthy shortcuts, like using heart-healthy soup in a recipe.
These look yummy! I’m always looking for new recipes to try out
That pizza looks beyond amazing! Now, guess what I am craving for? ~lol~
I’d like to try the Tilapia & Vegetable Casserole. I like fish, but the only way my husband will eat it is breaded. I think this is a good compromise for us both and I like that it can still be healthy eve though it has breading on it!
They all sound incredible! Definitely some recipes to add to my monthly menu planner! Thanks!
These all look so good!
This reminds me, I have to pick up some Cambell’s for some crockpot recipes!
Wow was not aware campbells had so many uses in respect to improving our health. Great article…
It’s true that a lot of us really need to start watching what we eat as we get older. I have family history of heart disease so I am always trying to watch what I eat and I try to plan healthier meals for the family. The Louisiana-Style Chicken, Sausage & Shrimp Skillet sounds really good. I think I may have to try this one night for dinner.
I love making recipes with Campbells soups. There are so many different directions you can go!
If I wasn’t hungry already, I’d be hungry now. These recipes look delish!!
my favorite campbell’s soup is clam chowder. not sure how heart healthy that is!
These recipes look wonderful and tasty too! My family tries to stay healthy and eat properly and exercise by walking a lot.
We use lots of Campbells soup. Going to try a couple of these tasty recipes.
Looks good, I like to cook with soup
