I love to travel and New Orleans is at the top of my list for where I’d love to go next. I love the music, the food, the Southern hospitality, and now, I am in love with the Macarons from Sucré.
Sucré is a dessert boutique in New Orleans. Visiting their website, ShopSucre.com , I find myself a kid in a candy store! French macarons, artisan chocolate bars, toffee, gourmet drinking chocolate, homemeade marshmallows and southern candied pecans. It’s a very sweet dream come true!
I recently had the chance to sample their Signature Macaron Collection. This to me was like biting into cloud pillows. They were amazing perfection, the best macarons I’ve ever tasted – delicately crunchy on the outside and inside the softest mousseline.
The macaron, which dates back to France over 150 years ago, is a classic favorite of kings and queens. Sucré has taken this dessert full of cultural history and transformed it into their own gourmet creation.
And let’s not forget the beautiful presentation. This would make a wonderful holiday or anytime gift.
These unique macarons were handcrafted by one of the top pastry chefs, Executive Chef Tariq Hanna. Named as one of the top 10 chocolatiers in North America, Chef Tariq Hanna’s vision is at the root of all things delicious at Sucré! His gourmet signature macarons are just one of many of his brilliant masterpieces.
Sucré has many different Macaron collections, and, in case you are wondering what flavors are in the Signature Collection, just look at this decadent deliciousness: Almond, Chocolate, Strawberry, Bananas Foster, Hazelnut, Pistachio, Pecan and Salted Caramel.
My favorites are the Bananas Foster, Strawberry, Almond and Chocolate, but it’s hard to pick favorites when every one of them was fabulous. They are also gluten-free.
I also want to add that they arrived in perfect condition, well-protected and extremely fresh.
I give them an 11 out of 10!
