Lately I’ve been contemplating “well-being”. Well being is physical and mental, naturally; however, there is so much more to it.
Being connected to friends, family and having a sense of community — that’s definitely well-being. I have experienced this personally recently. When I am cut off, for various reasons, my well-being suffers.
Also, what about not having to worry all the time how you will pay your next bill, having a sense of financial independence and confidence. What about having a career you love that supports you and your family, having savings for those unexpected curve balls life likes to throw you.
And, then, of course, there is play. This is so enriching whether it’s painting, going to a movie, getting a massage, traveling to one of your favorite destinations, learning something new, or being silly with a good friend. This can really give you a boost.
After all, there is a mind-body connection and we are multidimensional human beings – emotionally, physically, mentally and so much more.
What is your personal sense of well-being is as individual and complex as you are. This is why I’ve enjoyed discovering My Well-Being Powered by Humana. There is so much to explore here with content tailored just for you, great and interesting articles and tips as well as videos. You can create your own personal website geared to your own health. You can also save your favorite content and share it with others.
When you become a member at My Well-Being, you immediately get a FREE Dummies book. I chose Well-Being for Dummies and there are two other choices as well. I love this book and have already found some great tips. It’s super easy to read and assimilate.
After that, you can get a free Well-Being Assessment. Check it out today and get the tools that will help you improve your health and wellness tomorrow.
I really enjoyed the Online games and My Well-Being Polls. There are some fun games such as Memory Matrix and Speed Match to help flex your mental muscles.
I’ve already read quite a few articles that have been very helpful and interesting such as “Fun Ways to Exercise to Forget You’re Working Out”, “What Is My Biggest Inspiration” and watched a cool video on “How To Feed Your Family Superfoods”.
