There are lots of things you will need over the years, but only now and then. Maybe some power tools for working on your home, or a prom dress or tuxedo. If you rent clothes or accessories, they will never go out of fashion, unlike the clothes sitting in your closet which look quite different to you than when you bought them ten years ago.

I rememeber when it used to be popular 20 years ago. But it does make sense if you’re throwing a party or something like that.
I rented for far too long to want to rent anything again, it’s just throwing money away for us, but I can see why it’s best for some people 🙂

I’ve noticed that people can even rent clothing. I suppose that saves a ton of money when you don’t have to pay several hundred for a gown!

We are currently doing both!! We own our house in Portland but are renting it out since we live in Bellingham (6 hrs from PDX) and we are currently renting….but we might end up buying this place!
