Hi, and thank you for having me today! I thought I’d tell you guys a little bit about the world Gwen and the gang live in.
Setting
In the Gwen Sparks books humans know that the supernatural exist, but demand segregation. Towns are set up across the United States that are protected by magic. Some of these towns allow humans, but most don’t. Flora, the town Gwen’s from, does not. To the unknowing eye, it looks like a cornfield and is set in the countryside of Missouri. Their magical border obstructs anyone human from crossing its boundaries. Flora houses an array of supernatural: witches, vampires, werewolves, fairies, pixies, elves.
Shopping
Gwen owns a magical shop called Broomsticks. I’ve always had a fantasy of owning my own store. Of course mine would sell cute knick knacks instead of potions and enchanted items. Because of this, I had to make this Gwen’s occupation. Other stores include: Fairy Fabulous, Espresso Self, Vines, Vain, and many more that we’ll explore in future books.

Sounds like a great story!

This sounds like a really cool concept. I love the idea of segregation happening in the magic world as it has in our own history. So possible!
