The Evolution of the Modern Car #kiasocialclub

From 1880 to the present, cars have changed dramatically! I’ve always loved driving and though my car doesn’t have every accoutrement by any means, it’s hard to imagine not having my radio to jam to on long rides or heat during the New England snows!

If you’ve ever wondered when power steering or air-conditioning first evolved or even the cup holder, check out this cute video from Kia on the evolution of the modern car. I love the music and feel and it’s full of fun information.

Very cute! Cars are so ingrained in our culture; it’s nice to take a look at the history. Thanks for sharing.

It’s funny how you don’t really think about the parts of the car as being introduced at different times, but sure enough!

It’s amazing how far vehicles have come these days. The niceties like A/C, radio, and navigation are things I am glad were invented!

I know I totally take many car features for granted, and we drive pretty bare-boned cars.

    How interesting.
Just think – – my kid has never seen a car without cd, satellite radio, or navigation. What’s the next invention?

It is amazing how many things we take for granted now! I used to own a car without air conditioning, and I doubt you can even buy one like that now.

Wow, I guess I never thought that much about what cars were like even when I was little. Power windows were a luxury, and no one had a GPS.

My family is just finishing a massive road trip and I can’t imagine what it would have been like without DVD players and radio. And GPS. And 4-wheel drive…I could really go on and on.

What I really need is one of those Keyless starts – my keys are always in the bottom of my bag and I’m always rummaging around trying to find them!

How cute. I was really surprised by a couple of things – some things I thought came earlier and some later.

Cute video. I think I blinked and missed something. Did I see that there was a record player in a CAR?

My dad loved classic cars so growing up we had some. It’s interesting trying to drive without power steering or with only an AM radio and no air conditioning.
