I can still remember the day I slipped and fell on my tailbone because it was so unbelievably painful! I was living in California at the time and entering the hallway of my apartment building carrying two full bags of groceries. It was raining heavily out and people going in and out had made the floor slippery. Ouch!
Though I’ve since healed, I still have residual pain if I’m sitting for too long and, as a writer, I am so often sitting! This pain is exacerbated by fibromyalgia and lower back pain, so I’ve been seeking a solution for years.
Humans were not meant to sit all day long. Sitting for long periods of time can cut off circulation and pinch nerves in your butt and legs causing pain, numbness, and even long term tissue damage over time.
