I would definitely put myself in this category. If I’m asked to post about something that I am opposed to, I turn it down, because I like the idea of blogging with integrity. This is not to say that a blogger cannot make a mistake and find out later down the line that the brand actually is not reputable.
For example, I write about and use natural products whenever I can find them. For that reason, it just doesn’t make sense for me to write about bathroom or rug cleaners that are mostly toxic, or snacks where you have to read through a long list of chemical ingredients just to find something natural hidden in there.
I am in quite a few blogger networks which also makes it easier to find the “rotten apples”, so to speak. If something about a brand is disreputable, whether it be how they market or produce their products, we, as bloggers, will share this with our colleagues. The opposite also holds true with wonderful finds.

Yeah, as a blogger I can’t write about something I definitely WON’T use or don’t agree with . Unfortunately I am sure there are bloggers out there that will.

I’m already signed up just waiting for the blog to be approved.

I definitely agree with you – I won’t write about something if it’s not ME. I have to be willing to say NO.
Eleni Hunt says
I agree I would only write about something I would use.
Dianna @ Oy Vey a Day says
I would think that brands would also prefer to work with bloggers who believe in their products. There may be reputable brands out there that a blogger doesn’t use or believe in for one reason or another – in those cases, the blogger wouldn’t really be able to write an unbiased review of the product.
I will have to check out blogskinny.
Liz @ A Nut in a Nutshell says
I can totally see your point why you wouldn’t want to write about chemical-laden products when natural products fit you!
Lisa Noel says
In the beginning I said yes to things that just sounded cool and ended up with a lot of things I would never really buy. Now I really have to have interest in it to feature it
Krystyn @ Really, Are You Serious? says
Yes, it’s important that you stay true to yourself.
Jennifer (Double Duty Mommy) says
I definitely only blog for brands that I believe it and that my family actually will use. I wouldn’t write about chemicals if I were ONLY a natural product user.
Jennifer (Double Duty Mommy) says
I definitely believe this. I wouldn’t blog about chemicals if my family only used natural products.
Rachel says
I agree. I cannot promote something that I won’t use myself. No matter the amount of product or money, it just isn’t worth it to lie.
robyn says
Same here – we only write about things we appreciate and use.
Jen W. says
I only write about things I like or think I may like if I haven’t tried them yet. If I try it and don’t like it though I am always honest about it.
Jiahui says
I agree. I won’t write about something that goes against my convictions or if it’s something I’ve to lie about to get the post approved.

Interesting stats, 71% seems awfully low.

I feel exactly the same. If you don’t keep your integrity you have nothing.
