I am a firm believer in probiotics for digestive health and immune system support, but, recently I got the chance to try out a skincare line that incorporates probiotics into their beauty products. Can they help skincare as well?
tulā’ [ tulA ]: the sanskrit word for balance.
Recognizing the need for women to achieve balance in life, Dr. Roshini Raj recently co-founded Tula, a healthy-living brand launched in July 2014 with a new skin care line that uses a patented probiotic technology. As a gastroenterologist who has dedicated her life to educating the public on healthy living, Dr. Raj realizes the importance of balance in all things internal and external.
Not only does she teach ways to find balance but she practices what she preaches while juggling her roles as a mother, wife, doctor, best-selling author, and media personality. She understands that inner harmony leads to outer beauty, and that feeling beautiful and radiant on the outside can improve how we feel internally.
Tula’s Probiotic technology promotes a natural balance, helps stabilize the skin’s immune system, enhances repair activity, counteracts degeneration of structural proteins, such as collagen and elastin, provides increased moisture, restores the skin’s natural equilibrium, and reduces irritation. These ingredients help protect the skin against negative environmental influences.
I received a lovely package of goodies from Tula so that I could try out their products. These products included the Tula Purifying Face Cleanser, Illuminating Face Serum, Revitalizing Eye Cream and Hydrating Day and Night Cream.
The packaging is absolutely gorgeous and the azure shade of the containers reminds me of sea glass. The scent is a light clean floral.
The Tula Purifying Face Cleanser helps cleanse pores without drying the skin. I have to say that this is by far my favorite out of all of them simply because of the way it made my face feel. It really cleansed my face leaving me feeling each time like my skin was refreshed and renewed. It cleansed so well that my skin glowed and looked healthy and bright, and what amazed me was that it was still moisturized and super soft! This is a definite keeper!
The Tula Illuminating Face Serum contains topical brighteners that help even the skin tone. I like the soft feel of this on my skin. It’s very light and refreshing.
The Revitalizing Eye Cream helps minimize the appearance of dry fine lines in the delicate eye area. This product moisturizes well and does not irritate me. I would just pat on a little as you do not need much. In fact, these products last a long time. This cream helps with dark circles and puffiness as it hydrates and tones.
The Hydrating Day and Night Cream is thicker with a rich texture that moisturizes and delivers antioxidants that help fight free radical attack.
Overall, the Tula system is about helping women find time for and pamper ourselves as well as achieve true balance. Tula provided wonderful nutrients that nourished my skin leaving it feeling moisturized and silky smooth. I noticed that fine lines diminished and my skin looked healthy and glowing. The probiotics help balance and protect your skin while improving its hydration. Thanks, Tula!
